Technology Consultant

Job duties –

Lead SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) implementation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies. Design and configure integration with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or third-party systems using CPI-DS (Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services) or SDI (Smare Data Integration). Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, supply chain, finance, and external consultants. Gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Track project milestones, manage dependencies, and report progress to leadership. Oversee configuration, customization, and integration of SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) with other ERP systems like SAP S/4HANA, ECC (ERP Central Component), or third-party tools. Work closely with functional and technical teams to design and optimize supply chain planning processes. Provide guidance on best practices for demand planning, inventory optimization, and sales & operations planning (S&OP). Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external SAP partners. Collaborate with SAP consultants and implementation partners for solution design and issue resolution. Oversee system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and defect resolution. Monitor system performance and drive continuous enhancements post-implementation. May telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. Domestic travel required 20% of the time.

Education and Experience required –

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years of experience in SAP integrated business planning solutions. Will also accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in SAP integrated business planning solutions.

Background –

• 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelor’s)/3 years (if qualifying with Master’s) experience in SAP IBP modules (Demand, Supply, Sales & Operations Planning, Inventory, Response & Supply, Control Tower).
• 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelor’s)/3 years (if qualifying with Master’s) experience in SAP CPIDS (Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services), HANA modeling, and IPB Excel Add-in.
• 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelor’s)/3 years (if qualifying with Master’s) experience in configurations, master data setups, custom and external key figure configurations, forecast consumption, Heuristics, and Optimizer using various planning profiles Apps.
• 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelor’s)/3 years (if qualifying with Master’s) experience in Agile or waterfall project methodologies.

Location – HQ: Newark CA. May telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.
Rate of Pay - $166,421 to $190,000 per year
